Among others, My darling YOU! won the alternative Prize of Gothenburg 2006. The jury's motivation was (freely translated from Swedish):
Fantastic pop songs that tells us EVERYTHING about life. My darling YOU! have, from marvelous EP releases to show after show, in all kinds of situations, put words to what it is like to try to live a "gött" [strange Gotheburgian way of saying good...] life, without any money or luck in a city like Gothenburg in the early 2000th century.
